Public Holiday Calendars Missing Dates After June 2026 in Outlook

Applies To
Outlook for Microsoft 365

Last Updated: 09/04/2026

ISSUE

Some customers may notice that Outlook public holiday calendars do not contain all expected holiday entries for the latter half of 2026 and/or for 2027. This can affect holiday calendars added through Outlook on the web, new Outlook for Windows, classic Outlook for Windows, and other Outlook clients that consume Microsoft's holiday calendar data.

Microsoft is aware of the issue and is actively investigating reports from multiple regions.

SYMPTOMS

Customers may experience one or more of the following:

  • Public holiday calendars stop showing holidays after a specific date in 2026.
  • Holiday calendars contain holidays through 2026 but do not include holidays for 2027.
  • Certain individual holidays are missing or have incorrect dates.
  • The issue is visible across multiple Outlook clients, including Outlook on the web, new Outlook for Windows, and classic Outlook for Windows.

Affected Holiday Calendars

Microsoft has received reports involving multiple countries and regions, including:

  • Austria
  • China
  • Denmark
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong SAR
  • India
  • Israel
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • Poland
  • Singapore
  • Slovakia
  • Sweden
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Additional regions may also be affected.

Examples reported by customers include:

  • German Easter-related holidays not appearing in 2027.
  • Israeli holiday calendars ending in May 2026.
  • Japanese holidays missing for the remainder of 2026 and throughout 2027.
  • Missing Denmark, Sweden, U.S., U.K., India, China, and Hong Kong SAR holiday entries in 2027.
  • Incorrect Singapore Hari Raya Puasa date in 2026.

STATUS: WORKAROUND

If your organization requires holiday information beyond what is currently available in Outlook's holiday calendars, consider using an alternative source for holiday data, such as:

  • Organization-maintained holiday calendars
  • Third-party holiday calendar subscriptions (ICS)
  • Official government or regional holiday calendars

Please note that these alternatives are not Microsoft-managed holiday calendars and may require separate administration and validation. Support cases indicate that manual deletion and re-import of calendar data can work for individual users but may not be practical for larger organizations.
